What this phone benchmark measures
- Single-core score: how fast one processor core runs. It drives how quickly apps open, websites load and the interface responds.
- Multi-core score: every core working at once, as in video export, photo processing and games. The test uses up to 8 cores.
- Sustained speed: the multi-core speed after 10 seconds of full load, as a percentage of the peak. A phone that drops a lot is overheating, or has a worn battery that can't deliver peak power.
- Graphics chip: the GPU name your browser reports, such as Adreno 830 (Snapdragon), Mali or Immortalis (Exynos, Tensor, MediaTek), PowerVR (Tensor G5) or Apple GPU.
What is a good score?
Scores are on the MxMob scale, where a 2023 laptop processor scores about 2,300 single-core. They're estimates for comparing phones in the same browser, not Geekbench or AnTuTu results.
- Flagship (1,200+ single-core): recent iPhone Pro, Galaxy S Ultra and Snapdragon 8-series phones.
- Upper mid-range (750–1,200): older flagships and fast mid-range chips.
- Mid-range (400–750): typical Galaxy A and budget 5G phones.
- Entry-level (under 400): low-cost phones and older devices.
Laptops and desktop computers are rated on their own scale: High-end (2,000+), Mainstream (1,300–2,000), Entry-level (700–1,300) and Very slow (under 700). Plug a laptop into its charger first, because many laptops slow down on battery. To test the rest of a laptop, run the laptop diagnostic.
Power saving mode, a hot phone, low battery or apps running in the background can cut scores in half. Run the test twice with the phone at room temperature for the most reliable result.
Use the GPU to spot a fake or refurbished phone
Clone phones sold as a new Galaxy or Pixel often report the right model name but use a cheap processor. The graphics chip gives them away. Every Galaxy S25, S24 Ultra and S23 uses a Qualcomm Adreno GPU, Pixel 6 to 9 use ARM Mali, and Pixel 10 uses PowerVR. If the chip doesn't match, the benchmark shows a warning. Also check the model number in Settings › About phone and the IMEI with *#06#, or run the full phone diagnostic and the used phone checklist.
Phone getting hot or slow?
- A sustained speed below 60% in a cool room points to thermal throttling. Remove thick cases while gaming or charging.
- On iPhone, check Settings › Battery › Battery Health & Charging. A degraded battery can trigger performance management. Test your battery health.
- Restart the phone to clear stuck background tasks, and install software updates.
Phone throttling while gaming?
A clip-on phone cooler keeps the processor at full speed for longer.

Frequently asked questions
Is this benchmark the same as Geekbench or AnTuTu?
No. It runs in your browser and uses the MxMob scale, where a 2023 laptop processor scores about 2,300 single-core. Use it to compare phones in the same browser and to spot throttling, not to compare with app benchmark scores.
Why is my phone benchmark score low?
Power saving mode, a hot or low battery, and apps running in the background all reduce scores. Close apps, turn off power saving, let the phone cool to room temperature and run the test again.
How can a benchmark detect a fake phone?
Clone phones often fake the model name but cannot fake the graphics chip. Every Galaxy S25 uses a Qualcomm Adreno GPU, for example, so a Galaxy S25 that reports a Mali GPU is not genuine or has a replaced board.
