MxMob is a free, private toolkit for checking whether a phone's hardware actually works. It opens in your browser, so you can test a phone you already own or one you're about to buy on Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, OfferUp or eBay, without installing anything. Our full 33-point diagnostic walks through every component in full screen, and many tests pass automatically the moment the hardware responds.
How it works
- Open the diagnostic on the phone you want to test and turn the volume up.
- Tap Test all. Each test opens full screen. Allow camera, microphone, location and motion access when your browser asks.
- Follow each prompt. Touch, sensors, GPS, Wi-Fi, charging and the power button are detected automatically. For the rest, tap Pass, Fail or Skip.
- Get your report. See a health score, retest anything that failed, and share or save the report as a PDF.
What you can test
- Display: dead and stuck pixels, OLED burn-in, touch screen dead zones, multi-touch and S Pen or stylus pressure.
- Audio and camera: stereo speakers and water eject, microphone recording, earpiece, headphone jack, front and rear cameras and the flashlight.
- Sensors and buttons: accelerometer and gyroscope, compass, proximity sensor, light sensor, vibration motor and volume and power buttons.
- Connectivity: Wi-Fi speed, 4G LTE and 5G mobile data, GPS accuracy, Bluetooth, NFC and SIM and IMEI.

Can I test my phone hardware without downloading an app?
Yes. MxMob runs in Safari, Chrome, Samsung Internet and other modern browsers. Open mxmob.com/check on the phone, tap Test all, and allow camera, microphone, location and motion access when asked. Nothing is installed and nothing is uploaded.
Is MxMob a Samsung Members alternative for iPhone and Pixel?
Yes. MxMob follows the same one-tap diagnostic flow as the Samsung Members app, but it works on any brand: iPhone, Samsung Galaxy, Google Pixel, Motorola, OnePlus and more. It adds a shareable health score and PDF report, which is handy when buying or selling a used phone.
What should I test before buying a used phone?
At minimum, test the screen for dead pixels and burn-in, the touch screen edge to edge, both cameras, speakers and microphone, charging, Wi-Fi and cellular signal, and fingerprint or face unlock. Then dial *#06# and check the IMEI on the CTIA Stolen Phone Checker, and confirm the seller has signed out of their Apple ID or Google account.
Are the diagnostic results accurate?
Tests that read hardware directly, such as touch coverage, motion sensors, compass, GPS accuracy, network speed and charging detection, report live measurements from your phone. Components that websites cannot access, like the proximity sensor or earpiece, use short guided checks, and you decide Pass or Fail.
Is it safe to allow camera and microphone access?
Yes. Permissions are used only while a test is open, and all processing happens on your device. You can revoke access anytime from the lock icon in your browser's address bar.
