MyASUS System Diagnosis
- Open MyASUS (install it from the Microsoft Store if it’s missing).
- Go to Customer Support › System Diagnosis.
- Run a scenario such as battery, boot or performance problems, or Hardware Check for the memory, storage and battery.
Battery and BIOS
- In MyASUS › Device Settings, Battery Health Charging limits charging to extend battery life.
- Run powercfg /batteryreport in Command Prompt to see real battery capacity.
- Press F2 at startup to open the BIOS and confirm the processor, memory and storage.
Buying a used ASUS laptop
- Check the serial number in MyASUS or on the bottom label and look up the remaining warranty on ASUS’s site.
- Press every key with the keyboard test, including the Fn row and the keyboard backlight.
- On OLED models, run the burn-in test; on others, the dead pixel test and the backlight bleed test.
- Test the webcam, microphone and speakers with the laptop test, and every USB and HDMI port with a device you bring.
- Make sure Windows is signed out of the seller’s Microsoft account and there is no BIOS password.
